To me, a winter wedding is the perfect excuse to go a little more glam and bring out the princess in you on that one special day. Just think full, layered skirts, elegant materials such as lace and organza, beadwork, crystals, pearls, and shimmer. You might not want to go over-the-top with your wedding dress and accessories, but you can add just the right amount of razzle-dazzle that’s fits your personal style.
Although many of the current styles and trends will remain the same from this year’s winter fashions, there are a few things that will set next year apart.
Here are some of my favorite looks in 2012′s Winter Wedding Dress Designs:
- Elegant and intricate Bodices in antique cream, paired with endless layers of ruffles in light and sheer materials such as Chiffon or Tulle. Because of it’s pizzazz in the details, keep your jewelry and other accessories to a minimum. Choose just one accessory that you love, and keep your other accessories simple.
- Lace has always been one of my favorite timeless materials, and will be used in many of the detailing on 2012′s winter wedding dresses. Designers are coming up with more creative ways to incorporate this material into many of their dresses, giving them a more modern look. Lace adds sophistication and class to any dress, especially when paired with ivory pearl accessories.
- Instead of the icy silvers we’ve seen in the past, gold hair accessories and jewelry will be more popular in 2012. This will give your appearance a more vintage feel, using things like gold patterned hair brooches encrusted with sparkling rhinestones, gold bridal shoes, or perhaps a warm golden hued wedding gown. Gold jewelry combined with pearls is also a stunning look.
Allure Bridals
- I think Kate Middleton might have had something to do with the number of long sleeve wedding dresses going into production, like the ones shown below. Although they are modest and sophisticated, they are incredibly sexy at the same time.
