Wedding cupcake wrappers are an easy way to completely transform your cupcakes from drab to dreamy! You can purchase them in many different colors, styles, shapes and sizes, or you can simply make them yourself with a little extra time and creativity (I’ve included a cupcake wrapper tutorial and template at the end of this post).
If you plan on having a dessert buffet at your wedding instead of a massive tiered cake, cupcakes are the popular attraction. This gives you the option of having several different flavors already portioned into the perfect personal size. Heavenly!
These are the most romantic lace cupcake wrappers I’ve ever seen. The “i do” pink cupcake sticks with white bows really top them off — literally. I found these on Etsy, where you can purchase the sticks, but the beautiful photo credit goes to cottonandcrumbs.
This is an absolutely gorgeous display of cupcakes. It’s perfect for a dessert buffet. Consider using different flavors and cupcake wrappers for each tier. This will give your guests plenty of sweetness to choose from. For more photos from this event, visit thesweetestaffair.com.
Whether you are going for classy and elegant or whimsical and fun, there is a cupcake wrapper template and style for every occasion and event. A lot of them can even be personalized with your own monogram. Or, consider using custom stickers, labels, or sticks and leaving one at each place setting at the reception with your guest’s name. Gracious bridal has a really charming selection of wedding cupcake wrappers, like the lace ones shown below. The picket fence cupcake wrapper is just too stinkin’ cute!

If you have a printer, the easiest way is to download the cupcake wrapper template PDF and trace it on the back of your paper. If not, you can create your own template from regular cupcake liners, like the picture shown below. Cut out the bottom of the cupcake liner and place the outer edge on your template paper. You will need to trace your template much bigger than the actual liner, and be sure to leave plenty of space on the ends for overlapping. This may take a bit of trial and error, but once you have your template, the rest is a piece of cupcake.
Scrapbooking materials work perfectly for this project. Don’t forget that you can also use stamps and embellishments like rhinestones, glitter, stickers, and ribbon.
